These mills were fe (ford-edsel) architecture engines, the former essentially a destroked 390 for better torque. Also for 1968, like all vehicles sold in the u. S., the f-100 now had side marker reflectors; on each side, one was on the lower rear corner of the box side and one integrated into the side hood emblem. The small-block 302 v-8 was added to the option list for 1969; while 1970 saw both a new grille structure and the introduction of a now popular series, the xltspecifically the ranger xlt. The xlt featured color-keyed full carpeting, pleated cloth and vinyl seats, extra insulation, even more bright trim and a wood-tone tailgate panel. Additionally, a spring special explorer package was added exclusively painted grabber blue and explorer green. Models for 1971 made do with minor trim changes, along with the chrome front bumper and bright aluminum grille being standard, ending the era of painted grilles for entry level pickups at ford. Trim levels were now custom, sport custom, ranger, ranger xlt, and the spring special explorer. The 1972 model year was essentially a carry-over, before the f-series was replaced by a new generation for 1973. This era of f-series continued previous generations trend by becoming more car-like in equipment. Notable options now included power steering, power brakes, simulated vinyl roof, remote control mirror, am/fm stereo radio, and factory installed air conditioning.">while fords line of light duty trucks looked to be all new in 1967, it was actually based on the previous generations architecture from 1961 through 1966, only with new styling. Prominent features included a pronounced horizontal crease that bisected the bodywork, straight-edged wheel well openings, and a more intricate grille assembly. Trim levels were standard cab, custom cab, and ranger. Also new for 1967 was the first factory cataloged crew cab, albeit on -ton and larger pickups. The engine is a chevy 305 mated with a turbo 400 transmission, riding on gigantic mickey thompsons in back and skinny tires up front. Seat is from the s-10 pickup. Gas tank is a beer keg! Overall the truck is in very good condition. I bought it here on ebay about 3 years ago and use it in the summer to haul my paddle board to the river and back. It's been very reliable. Garage stored since i bought it. Truck needs nothing.

This beast currently has 818 miles on it since break-in was completed. Cog swaps are handled by a rebuilt ford c6 automatic transmission with a new 2500 rpm stall torque converter that was chosen to match the engine specs. Additional niceties include a vintage air air conditioning system, lokar shifter, and a tight-fitting tonneau cover for the bed. This truck is a lot of fun, but be prepared to buy a few rear tires! The truck starts every time, and once warmed up drives as it did when new. It leaks no oil, burns no oil, and doesn't smoke on start up or when driving. When i bought the truck, i replaced every mechanical part that was required to pass inspection and make it drivable. I have receipts for the following repairs: all new wires and hoses, rebuilt carburetor, new plugs / points, new windshield wipers, new gas tank and all gas lines, new brakes, new shocks, new tires, seat cover, new radiator, completely new exhaust system. Very drivable / dependable. The truck has been repainted at some point in its life, and it's not a great job. The only other rust i've found is small surface rust on inside bottom of driver's door. I'm happy to provide additional pictures as needed. If purchased in texas, i can help with local pick up, and will pass along the tx license plate - "f1hnrd".

It is and all steel show quality truck. The paint is an exquisite modern base coat, clear coat, finished with terrific chrome, glass and trim. This truck was frame off restored a few years ago. They did not make any major modifications except bolting the tailgate shut after putting in a refinished wood bed. That is very understandable with this fabulous paint job. They also updated the interior with high quality new leather on the bench seat, sculpted door panels, carpet, headliner, tilt column, custom steering wheel, cruise control, am/fm/cd stereo, and kept cool by a vintage ac. The chassis shows very well with painted hardware, gas shocks, power steering, power brakes, dual exhaust, turbo mufflers, a full size spare, and a stock chassis retaining the straight axle. Power comes from the gm 350 v8 crate motor with 290 horsepower mated to an automatic overdrive transmission. The combination is a very reliable and runs fantastic. AM/FM✔ Cruise Control✔ Air Conditioning
