The Ohlins suspension the previous owner added and fine tuned at both ends is very impressive in terms of giving a real sense of feel to a bike which was not know for feel but, rather for simple faith and trust in what the front tire is doing. Tires are in excellent condition and have plenty of life left for even an aggressive rider to enjoy t. I had a first year R1100S in a past life and it took me weeks to get to the poijnt where I could simply trust that the front tire would do as I asked of it, this R1200S feels NOTHING like that first generation BMW I rode back in the 90's

12,340 miles from new, or as most BMW fans will say, "barely even broken in". Bike is ABS equipped and has onboard computer for fuel economy and trip metrics as well. Has $1500 BMW side cases included with sale though not pictured and also comes with the $1500 exhaust as seen in the pictures. Runs perfect, starts instantly and has no real signs of wear. Like ALL horizontally opposed piston engines if parked with a hot motor on sidestand there will be a tiny puff of oil smoke on startup, this is common to everything from Ferrari Testarossa Flat 12 cylinders to Lycoming aviation motors to BMW twins, smoke disappears almost immediately after startup, to avoid always park on center stand when coming home from a long ride. Bike starts and runs perfectly, oil is clean and filter recent, tires are in great shape, all this bike really needs is a happy new home.
